funny you mentino the edge. before i mounted the pic i noticed my white edges and mistakes on cutting the ship out with a scalpel....i took sharpie to it :)

One thing I did to try to make the photograph integrate into the painting was color the edges of the cutout with a black permanent marker.  Might seem like a small thing, but without doing that, I got a visible white halo edge around it that stood out to my dislike. 


I think transformers would be a great venue for this type of mixed media, hope you give it a go!  Marty

This is a great concept. Marty came to mind when I first saw it and then he mentioned it in his comments. Certainly worth developing this idea.

wow!!! im really really liking that, do you mind if give it a go.......i might try that for the last one....but that looks amazing!!!!............oh and im thinking of doing a transormers one for myself....:)

This is a high resolution picture I printed on glossy photopaper, cut out, and layed into the wet paint, then covered with several layers of clear. This is now framed and in my office. Photobucket

thanks, it not painted on but its superimposed ontop of the picture, sticks off about quarter inch......someone i know wanted this so i went for it,,,he wants an all blue picture with the same ship, then for fun im gonna do one for him with the ship.........in space :)
