OK so I suck at rings. I've tried thin pieces of poster board, a comb and a popsicle stick. All I can say is yuck!

Anyone want to share their favorite method? I've even see them sprayed in on a couple or YouTube vids.

I tend to like spraying mine on. Like you I have had problems making my scraped on rings look right.

i prefer the scraping method using a piece of poster board.  I make sure there is color sprayed underneath the sky colorwhich helps themlook better.  This isn't my best skill though.

I saw a youtube vid where the guy used a file - it seems like it should work. I'll go through my files tomorrow and see if I can find a good one.

Otherwise in the universe I paint in, no planets have rings ;-)

I think I'll do a couple of canvases of just rings to get it right though!
