Hello Bryan, thank you for offering your services. I am doing pretty good, however, i do not fully understand some techniques that the others artists use. If you could help me with mountains and with the using of the pallet knife it would be much appreciated.

Thank, Gavin

Hi Gavin as to mountains there are 3 types that you can try. You can either shape up the mountain with a piece of magazine paper and then highlight it with the palette knife. Second, you can either scrape the mountain directly with the pallette knife and the the 3rd kind, which most propably is the most difficult is to paint it on and then highlight it by applying paint with the pallette knife instead of scraping in the highlights.  I posted the 3 methods below for you in order. As to the palette knife, the trick is in the pressure you apply when removing paint. The lighter the better, and make sure that the paint is not too dry for you. Hope this helps a bit, but paractice is the key.
