I'm just getting a sample of different techniques some of you artist use for Mountain creation.  I have watched several techniques, including sensational SprayCasso, who makes it look like my 2 yr old could do it. My biggest suggestion to everyone regarding mountains is always the same: go to my profile and check out the 2 videos that I have posted there.  NO they are not my own personal vids and I in no way am trying to take credit for them, but they are the best references that I can recommend for finding your way through the mountain techniques.

One video is of Brandon McConnell (he goes by "spacepaintings" on this site and was your first 'friend' here)... and I learned his technique for doing these mountains by watching this video, figuring out some things on my own, then applying the technique to my own style, depending on what type of mountains I choose to do for the piece I'm working on.

The other video is of Aleven Jones...  this video shows a different way of doing mountains than the other video, but it too is effective in showing how to do that style of mountains.  Sometimes I apply this style of technique for mountains, depending on what type of mountains I choose to do.

In my opinion, the best thing to do is watch the videos closely, then try to recreate what you see in the vids... Once you've got the techniques down THEN you can start applying them to your own works and start mixing techniques to find your own style and way of doing things.  By mixing your knowledge you might find your own new techniques for doing things!
