Color Place is a great paint to start out with in my opinion. It works with the techniques of spraypaint art and allows those of us on tight budgets to get paint that is fair. The down side is that it does dry quick and does not have the color options like the other brands. When painted side by side the color of Color Place is not as vibrant. The spray amount is light which means you are spraying down light coats and you may need to make double the passes of a different brand. Finally, it seems that the Color Place cans do not last as long as its counter brands.
Krylon would be my favorite brand but They discontinued the tips that I like. The colors they offer are good in selection and very full and bright.
Rustoleum is good all around. Great selections of colors to choose from and they all are very vibrant. As if they were pulled right from the color spectrum. They spray volume and area coverage is ideal for me. The only issue I can think of is the time it takes for this brand to dry. It is the longest of the paints I have tried.
Painters Touch is a Rustoleum brand and with that carries most of its qualities. The colors are brilliant and plentiful but I have a huge issue with the tips. The tips have a bad habit of collecting paint and spitting if all over your work. Theses cans also have what seems to be a heavier spray. I mean more comes out faster and in a smaller area. The cans are pretty and the tips look cool but for me... the simple fact is the spray makes it uncomfortable to use.
