Painting, sculpting, sharing art with my grandchildren, playing the guitar, quilting, and scrap booking. Taking walks in the woods, picking up leaves, taking photos of mushrooms, leaves, and streams, including my next generation how too savor what GOD has given us too enjoy and take in our souls too forever be young. A soft place too fall, a memorable time in our life. A photo in our mind that never leaves us that brought peace and serenity when we savored it at the moment!!!!!!!!!

My name is Linda, I am the mother of 3 grown children, step mom too 2 grown children. We have 5 grandchildren between us now, I am retired from the hectic retail business and loving having time too paint now that I am an empty Nester. I spent 4 years in the U.S. Navy, and went back to college at 31 too get my degree in Horticulture, just another art form, owned my own landscape business in Charleston, S.C., sold it and moved back home too upstate NY. My husband and family are my best supporters and critics of all my art work, without them I think I would give it up again. I have waited along time too do what I have had deep in my soul for along time, and now this is my time too express who I really am. I paint anything that doesn't move, have been learning the space painting technique for three months now, and love the challenge of no paint brushes allowed. I have expanded the techniques, using botanical' s from my garden, such as leaves, ferns, grass and sticks. I am cutting strips of magazines and newspapers to create my naked trees and use a plastic butter knife, nails, and scissors too scratch in limbs, details for rocks and mountains. I am looking forward too new ideas and techniques for those who want too share. Cold weather is here so I will be limited now on my space to do these as in I paint outside, I live in Upstate NY, autumn has arrived with wind and rain. My favorite season of the year though.

I love fall colors,,, orange, yellow, red and brown. I love new challenges in any art form. Spending time with family and friends, showing my grandchildren the joy of painting, and exploring mother nature, two of my grand daughters are already showing artistic minds. I love camping, dinners and barbecues with my family, and creating, learning, and sharing.

HAVE NONE, that would make me closed minded, and my heart and soul is open too the universe.

I buy my poster board from Walgreens, if you have one near you, the price is right,, and the glossy side is great,, I myself like Krylon but what I found out thru,, exp.. is they have diff, spraying tips,, so we have too read the can and pay attention too what we want in a spray,, other cheaper brands which I also use from dollar stores etc,, give me my bang for my buck,, but have fast drying,, so have too use alot of clear coat with them when want too do detail work,, all of this will come too you,, everyone had preference of name paints, tools, thats the fun of this painting style,, experiment, explore and discover,, just like our universe,, I am here anytime you need a friend or help,, so welcome and have fun,, look forward too what you bring too our wonderful group of artists, peace and love LINMARIE

I bought some at walgreens for 86cents but found the same at target for 32. The krylon here has this dumb 360 tip, but they have more colors.. Maybe i'll see what lowes has. I've just been studying others works so far, my b-day is coming and i plan to buy the DVD's with that money. Not sure if i want cosmo kids or Brandons.

It's only day two, i've got alot of time to figure out all the cool techniques i've seen.

I hopefully answered your inquiry as to how I paint my pieces using spray paint under the ocean sunset painting. I noticed your newest painting illustrates moving beyond spray painting to another media, and this is what makes art truly phenomenal...moving beyond boundries.

Linda,

Thank you so much for all the wonderful words of encouragement!  I really enjoy spray painting, and learn and grow everyday as I continue to explore this unique medium.  It's nice to know that others notice my tiny additions to the universe.  :)  Marty
