I would send it back.  I dont know how much paint we're talking about here but if it's more than 1 can for experimentation then i feel it's a waste.  In my opinion it works best when it's glossy paint on a glossy surface.  With matte paint the overall feel of the painting will be dull and the colors will be kind of drab.  I've heard lots of ppl complain on other forums that they too were unhappy with the matte finish and that they didn't expect there to be such a difference.

Also, from personal experience - I only use glossy paint now.  I tried matte once and I'm sure I still have half a can of it that I'll never use.

i have tried matte black just to do it... i thought it worked out how i personally wanted it to... however i would probably send it back if all of its matte.

may i ask where its from and what brand it is? im always curious where people buy things and what brands people are using.
