Greetings! My name is Ed and am brand new to this. I spent about a week in New York and while walking around Times Square (42nd St), came across a crowd gathered around a lone man on the sidewalk. I ended up admiring this mans work for about two hours and walked away with the thoughts that I have GOT to learn how to do this!
At the ripe ol' age of 48,Im surely gonna be one of the older in the group starting out in this, but what the heck, you gotta start sometime, right?
I did some shopping @ Lowes (on Friars Rd) and spent $45 on paints, foam brushes, straight edges, razors and a box cutter. Spent another $5 on 14x22 poster board @ Wa-Mart, and I think I'm ready to get started.
I realize the 'festivities' don't start until the 18th @ Imperial Beach, but would like to know if anyone may be interested in getting together with me and show me a few things..I'd be willing to meet in a parking lot, if need be.
