Posted On 07/07/08 02:43 PM by msb1110
Hey gang...  Recently uploaded most of my painting (with the help of Munden and Bryan!! )  Seems the resolution setting for website on photobucket is a bit small.   ANY WAY TO CHANGE RESOLUTION SIZES ON THIS SITE???  or do I have to go back to photobucket and do them all individually again :(( Have uploaded all the images and they satill seem to be small in size..   Mike

I just checked out some of your most reent uploads and the image size seems good to me. When I clicked on one of your images it was 630x479 and honestly that's a pretty good size as far as viewing online. I generally go with a max of 600 either width or height and scaled proportionally because you never know whether the viewer has a big 32 inch flat screen high res monitor or a little 15 inch monitor. When the images are too big it's a pain because you're not able to view the whole piece.

My general practice, and yes it is a pain and a little bit of extra work, but I keep 2 sets of everything... I have 1 low-res set for uploading to websites and then 1 high-res set for archive and for emailing potential clients.
