i too get most of my poster board at Walgreens ... it is the little school supply section and it cost 89 cents per piece which is 22" x 28" whichfor just starting out cut your sheets down to 11x14 or my favorite size 18" x 14".....some times when youare first starting it can be hard towork witha full size postergoard ALSO you can findthe sheets at dollar sotes too .... as far as paint ... my main paint is Rust-O-Leum.... is ther a big difference? HUGE... it is easier to control the spray of the can so you can do light mist and not lay down too much paint when you are doing planets and cave walls .... drop a line if you need anymore help or have any questions ... i have a couple of vids on here and actualllyabout to go work on a 3rd .... look through my gallery on here or check out my website www.planetrev.com ....
I buy my poster board from Walgreens, if you have one near you, the price is right,, and the glossy side is great,, I myself like Krylon but what I found out thru,, exp.. is they have diff, spraying tips,, so we have too read the can and pay attention too what we want in a spray,, other cheaper brands which I also use from dollar stores etc,, give me my bang for my buck,, but have fast drying,, so have too use alot of clear coat with them when want too do detail work,, all of this will come too you,, everyone had preference of name paints, tools, thats the fun of this painting style,, experiment, explore and discover,, just like our universe,, I am here anytime you need a friend or help,, so welcome and have fun,, look forward too what you bring too our wonderful group of artists, peace and love LINMARIE
Just started painting last night... Need to get the right paper. The ones i did on walmarts "poster board packs" have no real glossy side. Also Krylon white paint sucks.
